Reports

You can find nine (9) individual reports, prepared just for you by Front Page. To access them, Click View, Choose Reports, then choose the report of your choice.
You can choose from:

  • Site Summary

    • Lists your sites vital statistics: the number of files, and the size of those files. It lists your images, hyperlinks, tasks. It is a quick "run-down" of all the specifics in the following reports. 

  • All Files

    • Lists every file in your web, hidden files will not show.

  • Older Files

    • Reminds you to update certain pages. Check at least once a week, fresh content is the key to repeat visitors.

  • Unlinked Files

    • There aren't to many things worse than having a folder stuffed with unused images, or to work for hours on a page, then forget to link it!

  • Slow Pages

    • The more you add to a page, the slower it will download and be viewed by your visitor, pages that are to slow, won't even be viewed, your visitor will become bored and leave. 

  • Broken Hyperlinks

    • Find your broken links! This report list them for you!

  • Review Status

    • Very handy when more than one person works on a single web. The review status lets everyone else know what "stage" a particular page is in. Is it ready to be uploaded?

  • Categories

    • Lists pages and other files within a given category.

  • Publish Status

    • Is this page ready for the net?

      • To change the publishing or review status of a file, click the cell in the Publish or Review status column, click the cell again, and then type or select a different publishing or review status.

      • You can change the publishing or review status of multiple files at one time. In the Publish Status report, select the files for which you want to change publishing or review status, right-click to display the shortcut menu, and then click Properties. Click the Workgroup tab, and then in the Review status box, select the review status for the selected files. To withhold the files from publishing, select the Exclude this file when publishing the rest of the web check box.

You can assign tasks (right click), change the dates to determine if a page is "old", include hidden files in your reports. (To include files in hidden folders in your reports, click Web Settings on the Tools menu, click the Advanced tab, and then select the Show documents in hidden directories check box.)
