Web Designs -4- You began as a hobby site in 1996 as “Dixiedi’s Free Stuff” on a free server. As we acquired education, skills, knowledge and, recently, certifications, we added them to our site. In 1998 we chose to become a domain. That’s when our name was born.
Our History
We began providing custom graphics for a fee in 1997, at the time we maintained an area with free graphics. That area still exists, but is housed on Mike’s history site — not our history, ancient and medieval history. In 1998, we began contracting to individuals who needed help creating their own web site. This combined teaching with authoring, preparing us for our present position.
At this time, we work as freelancers, providing a variety of services for individuals and small businesses in need of a web presence, instruction or networking.
