Links

FP makes creating links just as simple as a few mouse-clicks.(hyperlink icon)
Inserting html code from banner exchanges, affiliate sites, freebie sites, etc. will be covered in another tutorial.

Text link or image link to another page within your web site or to another www.site.com.

Type the text or insert the image.
Highlight it.
Click on the Hyperlink Icon.
The dialog box to the right will appear.

(This box has been altered slightly to aid quicker loading, click on it to view nearly full size.)

For a link to another page within your web, just scroll down the list in the main window of the dialog box. Click on the page you want to link to, and click OK. (Don't worry about the http:// in the URL text box, it will disappear when you click on your page.)

A text link to another page on the WWW, you have 2 choices.
Type in the URL in the text box labeled URL, the http:// is already started for you.
OR

Click on the icon and browse to the URL you want to link to. This is specially helpful if you want to link to a page you have added to your favorites. When your browser opens, navigate to the page, copy the URL from the address bar, and paste it into the URL text box. (Be sure you highlight, in order to remove, the http:// that is already there or you may find your link has two of them.)

This icon opens a dialog box to search your system for the page or other file you want to link to. It would be very helpful if you maintain a large web, or act as your own server.

Clicking this icon permits you to create an email link. A second dialog box will appear. Simply type the email address into the text box. Do you want something special in the subject line in the email from a specific link? Type the address in like this:  yourname@yourdomain.com?subject=Subject__Of_Email

The new page icon permits you to link to a page you are about to create. This saves you the step of returning to create the link after the page has been created. I use this a lot when writing these tutorials. Again, another dialog box appears. This time, it is the new page dialog box. Choose the type of page you will be creating, it's a fairly simple follow through...
